Michael Jordan is acknowledged as the Greatest of All Time in the history of the NBA. And whenever someone mentions basketball there’s only him that comes first in anyone’s mind. Though it has been already 18 years since Michael Jordan retired from the NBA, he’s still not drifted from the public’s eye.  

Former Bulls, Jordan still cashes from Jordan Brand every year, owns Charlotte Hornets, and is always looped in the conversations with LeBron James.  On the court he was utterly ruthless, an offensive assassin who doesn’t shy of mocking other players and scaring the team to halt.

The same can also be said when being off the court. Michael Jordan was very competitive in nature and because of that, he was never afraid of voicing his opinions on others or getting in people’s faces. He was also never afraid of taking the frowned-upon path if it surely brings him success.

It is not new for his teammates of speaking about him being how rude he is. There have been numerous anecdotes from his teammates and opponents, that clear detail how rude and mean Jordan reportedly was.

Gilbert Arenas detailed about Michael Jordan’s arrogant behavior in the NBA

In a recent interview with the VLADTV, Gilbert Arenas spoke about Michael Jordan at the time when Wizards were still considering him bringing back to the organization. He told the reporter that when he and his father asked about the situation, they were told that Jordan was not being welcomed back after he rubbed other players the wrong way. “Those guys, ‘We don’t want him as an owner. If this is what he was as a player, we don’t want him as an owner,” he said.

Arenas talking about the situation further said that Jordan was given a $10 million cheque after he was informed of his dismissal. In response to the same Jordan immediately threw the cheque away and exited the building.

“He (Wizards’ owner) was like ‘I wrote MJ a check, 10 million dollars. Thank you for your services.’ MJ threw that check and said ‘f*ck off’ and drive out of the arena,” he added.

Michael Jordan’s legacy has been with many twists and turns. Though he’s always been respected for his play and the way he the changed game of basketball, he is often criticised for the nature he possessed. He was often very rude to his teammates and his opponents in the league. He’s always been a man of great honour and dignity and whatever came in his path of hindering the way he approaches things, he didn’t hesitate to cut them off.
