There is no denying that Bill Goldberg is one of the most fearsome superstars in WWE history. However, he often came under fans’ scrutiny for being reckless and causing injuries to his opponents during his matches. The Hall of Famer addressed the highly controversial topic in a recent interview.

While speaking on The Von Erich podcast, Bill Goldberg talked about how the past stars are quickly forgotten in this day and age. During the conversation, he referred to Bret Hart as the “moron” he kicked in the head. The former Universal Champion stated that things could go wrong in wrestling’s rough business.

However, Goldberg didn’t like the fact that The Excellence of Execution still kept talking about it. He mentioned the incident with Hart, which happened in their match at Starrcade in 1999, and apologized on multiple occasions. The former World Champion has openly said that Goldberg was the worst professional wrestler of all time.

Granted, unfortunately, a couple times, Steiner, I’m not even gonna mention his name, but the moron I kicked in the head, but unfortunately, things like that happen. As long as there’s not malicious intent, I mean, hey bro, you’re in the wrong business if you bitch and moan about getting slapped or getting punched errantly.

The legendary superstar wrestled in his last match against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in Jeddah two years ago. Since then, he has blamed Vince McMahon countless times for not giving him in his retirement match.

Bill Goldberg said that today’s morons couldn’t hang with him in his prime

The WCW legend felt that fans forgot how great he was in his prime. During his WCW days, he picked up 173 victories straight, defeating opponent after opponent. However, thanks to Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and a stun cane, that streak came to an end.

While speaking on the same podcast, he stated that today’s wrestlers wouldn’t stand a chance against him in his prime. Goldberg also felt that the audience quickly forgot how great he actually was in the ring. Well, looking at his last run with WWE, nobody can really blame them.

Hey dude, you saw how easily it was that people forgot about me and the fact that I go out there and absolutely smashed people and then leave? Now that the audacity to think that any of these morons could stand two seconds with me?

During his second WWE run, he suffered losses against the likes of Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and Drew McIntyre. He also wrestled in a match against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia, which could have turned out horribly for both of them.
