George Bush, Bill Clinton at the Presidents Cup
The Presidents Cup 2022 started off on a perfect note for team United States as they registered a 4-1 victory over the international squad in the first foursome’s session on Thursday at the Quail Hollow Club. But what caught fan’s attention was the two high profile visits on Friday. The 42nd and 43rd presidents of US, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush came for the first tee.
Americans Patrick Cantlay and Xander Scheuffele going up against Japanese Hideki Matsuyama and Australian Adam Scott 5 and 6 respectively, being the men of the hour. The two former Presidents simply hugged and enjoyed themselves, but the Twitter could not keep calm.

Bill Clinton and Bush spark severe controversy on twitter
“ You know this is called the Presidents Cup for a reason, right?” a user commented. While others called out saying “Where is Obama?” “Where is Trump?” And soon the debate turned rather political as another user commented.
“Treasonous war criminal and an Epstein Island VIP… But Greg Norman is banned from his own PGAT charity event?? LOL. I knew PGA Tour was woke when they pulled their tournament from Trump’s course, but this is next level trash”.
The 14th edition of the Presidents Cup has always been a hot topic for debate in the golf world mainly due to the exclusion of a few big names due to their connection with the LIV, the Saudi-backed rival league and subsequent inclusion of surprising names to the US squad.
