Billy Horschel furiously slams “haters don’t know what the ‘F’ they’re talking about”

Golfer Billy Horschel is selected in the American team.

American professional golfer Billy Horschel has finally made it to the US team after a long wait of 14 years. He is ecstatic and at the same time relieved about it.

He almost made his way to the Ryder Cup team in 2014. Despite winning two playoff events, he was ignored and later saw the team suffer a five-point loss at Gleneagles. Talking about the same, the 35-year-old golfer felt he could have helped the team at that time.

“I felt like I could have helped,” Horschel said. “Whether my presence and me being there could have helped us win, I don’t know. “My desire burns so hot that it can’t go any higher,” Horschel added. “To make these teams … there’s no higher ceiling. There’s nowhere else for it to go.”

Billy Horschel hits back at critics

Despite making it to the team, a large number of critics are still questioning Billy Horschel’s ability. They say he has made it to the team only because the golfers involved with LIV have left the PGA Tour.

“I know there’s been a lot of chatter about it on both sides, at least the players who went to the LIV tour. Then as Max [Homa, another pick] sort of indicated Sunday after he won, there were a lot of people on social media that like to chime in. What he’s heard, I’ve heard as well, I only made the team because the LIV guys left the [PGA] Tour,” Horschel said.

“I mean, those are just people that don’t know what the ‘F’ they’re talking about. If they would have seen the points list when [Johnson and others] left the Tour, Max and I were clearly in the top 12. So, it doesn’t bother us one bit,” the golfer added.

The former American team golfers such as Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, and Brooks Koepka are not involved with the team because of their loyalty to Saudi-backed LIV Golf. Because of that, they have either been suspended or have to give up their PGA Tour memberships.
