The second event of the LIV Golf Series has successfully been completed, with Branden Grace lifting the trophy. Amidst growing tensions in the golf world, Grace took home a whopping $4.3 million dollars on Saturday. This was LIV Golf’s first event on American soil, at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

Grace closed the game with a 7-under 65 to finish 13 under at the course and win by 2 strokes. The 48 players list competed for a purse of $20 million, with an additional $5 million funds for the team competition. There was no cut, and even the last place finisher pocketed $120,000 on their completion. Grace took home $4,375,000 as his total prize winnings.

With this victory, Grace has now cashed a total of $6.4 million- is the most of any player so far on the LIV Series. It is also a lot higher than his wins at the PGA Tour, in which he earned his highest amount of $2.8 million in 2015-16. While Carlos Ortiz and Patrick Reed shared the podium with Grace, it was the team Four Aces lead by Dustin Johnson who took home the team prize.

“Played flawless golf, played really, really well when I needed to do something special and came up and managed to pull it out,” Grace said according to ESPN. “But just what a great day, it was amazing to come here, this new format, this new everything is amazing and everybody here is having a blast.”
