The preparation for the Open is well an truly underway. The final major tournament of golf is just a couple of days. Players are now getting ready, hoping to deliver their very best. For the first two rounds, players are paired up in a group of three. The Open organizers have now paired up LIV Golfer Brooks Koepka along with PGA tour players Patrick Cantlay and Hideki Matsuyama.

The current PGA champion will now have to play alongside these two for the first two days. The thing that makes this pairing interesting is that Koepka slammed Cantlay and his group for “slow play” at the Masters. The 33-year-old was paired up with Jon Rahm for the final round and he ripped Cantlay for his speed. “Yeah the group ahead of us was brutally slow,” Koepka said during the tournament.

Cantlay did acknowledge the comments of Koepka. He mentioned how groups ahead of them were taking long time to hit their shots which eventually delayed the whole tournament. A few days later, Cantlay made a hole-in-one and shared the footage on his social media accounts. He gave a cheeky caption to it titled “Playing faster”.
