Bryson DeChambeau appeared on a day at the course with Grant Horvat asking some compelling questions to Bryson. It’s undoubtedly established that Bryson has his way with numerical details and that his keen observation adds to his knowledge of minute details. He certainly is the right person to answer some good questions on the golf numbers.

Bryson has his own opinions about the golfers who aren’t interested in the numbers. It’s not that he has disdain for those who are inattentive to numerical details, but accepts that different golfers might have different priorities. On a cart ride, on the golf course Bryson and Grant Horvat mentioned an earlier comment made by Phil Mickelson.

The influencer Horvat called Bryson DeChambeau ‘smart’ not because of his knowledge about fellow golfers but then moved on to some grave discussions about them. In an interview in February 2017, Phil Mickelson said, “you either got to be really smart or really dumb to play the game,” and that is what exactly Horvat enquired about from Bryson.

Bryson DeChambeau was stuck when asked about the players who were concerned about numbers and those who weren’t. He had to compare Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson for the purpose, but kind of took a diplomatic tone, while also answering the questions aptly. He mentioned that Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson were different, but unique in their own way and had varies approaches when it came to the golf game.

“It’s an accurate statement,” DeChambeau said, about Phil’s statement from the interview. “Phil definitely wants to know anything and everything. And then you have a guy like Dustin who doesn’t want to know much, but he’s smart enough to know when stuff works and doesn’t work,” as he discussed their varying qualities.

“He’s actually a pretty smart individual. He plays the game real well… He’s smarter than he pulls off,” Bryson DeChambeau added about Dustin Johnson. He definitely adores Dustin Johnson’s worth ethic. Dustin has even earned a place in Bryson’s good books with the knack he has around the golfing course. Bryson mentions that they both have fair careers and either numbers or pure talent- it’s the show that matters the most.
