Donald Trump at LIV Golf
The LIV Golf series has caused its fair share of controversy since its inception, as the Saudi backed Series seems to have taken the world by storm. However, their third event especially has caused outrage, as ex US President Donald Trump is hosting it on his golf course at the Trump National Golf Bedminster, New Jersey. This has especially angered the victims and families of 9/11, who are outraged at the fact that the controversial series is getting so much support.
Regardless, Trump teed off at the Pro Am LIV Event with Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson. Later though, he was seen drinking his trademark Diet Coke at a cheeseburger filled table while watching the Saudi-backed LIV tournament at his course. Wearing the MAGA hat, Trump was seen sipping his coke with his son-in-law Jared Kushner and Caitlyn Jenner.

Jenner has been a friend of Trump’s for a long time, and according to Paul Casey she has a ‘pretty good swing’. Former NBA star Charles Barkley also competed at the event with Sergio Garcia and Louis Oosthuizen. LIV Golf was in talks with Barkley to offer a deal to join their broadcast team, however those talks did not get anywhere.
On the other hand, the backlash against the LIV Series is growing. A group of 9/11 protestors took to the event to call out Trump for hosting the series. Terry Strada, the chair, said, “Over 1,000 children, including my three, were orphaned when 750 innocent New Jersians were slaughtered. Friends, neighbors, and strangers comforted us.”
