“All LAUNDERED money”: Fans react to Scottie Scheffler’s insane potential $37 million win at PGA Tour
Scottie Scheffler
Scottie Scheffler has been having quite the year this year. Scheffler is an American pro golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Scheffler is currently ranked no. 1 in the world by the Official World Golf Rankings, making him one of the favourites to play the FedE Cup Playoffs that are currently taking place.
Scottie Scheffler set a season-long record with $14,046,910 in earnings. After the US Open there were 10 events left on the Tour’s schedule. During this time itself however, Scheffler set a new record for most official money earned in a PGA Tour season. This was all thanks to his tour best of four wins, which left him $4 million clear of second place sitter.
This also means that Scheffler is capable of breaking the record for the most money earned in a single PGA Tour season. The amount is set to be at a whopping $37 million and is contingent on him winning the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Twitter is angry about Scottie Scheffler winning money and breaking records
The fact that Scottie Scheffler is winning so much money seemed to make Twitter rather angry. Fans were disappointed with the fact that everything had now become about money with the recent PGA Tour and LIV Golf controversy. More than playing the sport, the golfers and the tours seem to focus on how much money they are making- which is causing the loss of the essence of the sport.
