Golfers get the chance to compete in an unusual format and win a top prize of £1 million as well as a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour in this two-man team tournament on the tour. The Zurich Classic is a two-man team event on the PGA Tour that offers a different format than traditional stroke play events. The tournament consists of four balls on Thursday and Saturday, where each player plays their own ball, and the lowest score for the team is recorded. On Friday and Sunday, the players compete in foursomes, where both players on the team play the same ball, taking alternate shots until the hole is completed.
