One of the most hyped-up shows releasing on Netflix ‘Full Swing’ features PGA Tour’s biggest stars reciting their stories on wins, losses, and behind-the-scenes moments. The show will be featured next month on February 15, Wednesday globally. 

As per the description of the documentary, the 8 episodes series will give a peek into the world of golfers where they’ll tell their stories of what it’s like to reach the highest level in the sport. A trailer for the documentary has been released with PGA defending champion Justin Thomas and by his side Jordan Speith featuring.

The series will be providing details and a look into PGA’s biggest events including The Master’s Tournament, The 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews last year, PGA Championship, The Players, The US Open, and the FedEx Cup Playoff.

What to expect from the PGA Golf docu-series?

The idea of ‘Full Swing’ was to give the fans and worldwide audience a glance into the world of golf and make the game interesting for others to enjoy. Apart from Justin Thomas and Jordan Speith, Rory McIlroy also makes an appearance at the beginning of the trailer. He notes, “If I want the game that I love to be played by future generations, the game needs to be pushed forward”.

Some of the other PGA players making appearances in the show are Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, Ian Poulter, Brooks Koepka, Matt Fitzpatrick, Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, Joaquin Neimann, etc. It’ll also feature the players who were in the PGA Tour before joining the Saudi-backed event halfway. 

In the trailer, Poulter states, “You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour”. ‘Full Swing’ is a project with the collaboration of Vox Media Studios and Box-to-Box films. They are also known for releasing the F1 series ‘Drive to Survive’.

The trailer got released on January 11 and it was only then that Rory made an appearance. Apparently, his participation in the show was kept a secret till the trailer got out. He currently wears the crown for being on the top list in World Golf Ranking.

Netflix blog Tudum commented on what can be expected from the series, “In addition to documenting their failures and wins on the course, the series digs deeper into the personal lives of some of the most talented golfers in the game — their families, rivalries and an impressive amount of drama.”
