“There’s no GOLF”- Gareth Bale will be BANNED from playing golf in Qatar during the FIFA World Cup
Wales fans do not Gareth Bale to play Golf during FIFA World Cup IMAGO
Gareth Bale in his prime was unplayable, and maybe he still is but who knows? Some might say he didn’t reach his full potential owing to his constant injury issues during his time at the Los Blancos. Bale also got in trouble in his last seasons at the Santiago Bernabéu for apparently focusing more of his energy and time on golf rather than football.
Once again an issue of a somewhat similar notion has come to the forefront for Wales manager Rob Page that concerns the Welsh winger and golf. Bale’s love for golf has been a public affair from the beginning as the former Real Madrid man has often been spotted hitting the golf courses whenever he gets free time.
Gareth Bale had a somewhat troubled relationship with the Spanish media during his time in Madrid, often being the subject of sheer criticism when it came to golf or his attitude towards the team. Who’s at clear fault, no one will ever know but the famous – “Wales. Golf. Madrid. – In that order” banter by his Wales teammates surely landed him in a tough spot. Bale is currently with David Beckham’s LAFC playing in the MLS.

Gareth Bale will be ‘off-course’ during his time in Qatar as Wales try to maneuver their way past the group stages
Gareth Bale loves playing for his country and the difference in attitude quite clearly shows on the pitch whenever Wales needs their captain to lead from the front. Anyways, with the FIFA World Cup 2022 almost at our doorsteps, preparations and strategies for teams have begun on how to move as far as possible in their WC Campaign. On this note, the Wales manager has also developed a certain strategy for his star player.
Rob Page was very open and clear about this golf topic. He said – “We had a round of golf planned. I went to the Doha club; it’s run by a British lad. it gets dark at four o’clock. We looked at it, but there are other functions we might have to do, so we will probably not get the chance to do it. Yeah [I’ve told Bale]. There’s no golf. We’re out there to do a job”. The message from the boss is crystal clear and we surely expect Gareth to abide by it, and more so because it’s not Real Madrid this time.
Wales qualified for the WC in some superb fashion and would like to continue their form coming hot into Group B where they are placed alongside England, Iran, and the United States. Wales would surely be looking to advance past the group stage and fancy their chances for which they’ll be quite dependent on their star captain and his dynamic goal-scoring abilities.
