Greg Norman, the renowned golfer who founded the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Investments league, has recently made some interesting comments. According to Norman, more players are expressing interest in joining his league, and he wants to sit down with the PGA Tour to discuss his plans He also said “It never had to be one or the other”.
However, Norman also recognizes the need to boost the bottom end of talent, given the lackluster performance of players such as Sihwan Kim, who came last in all three events this season.
Norman, in a recent interview with NCA NewsWire, elucidated that the current absence of the capability to append more players to his league is attributable to the reality that a plethora of players are currently contracted with other organizations.
Nevertheless, Norman posits that relegation series would be instituted, which would, in turn, unlock spaces for more players. Despite the PGA Tour’s imposition of a ban on any players who join LIV, Norman’s optimistic outlook holds that the two tours will, ultimately, find common ground and adjourn their animosity.
