Nike, the renowned clothing brand continues to grab the headlines. While there have been talks of their sponsorship with golf great Tiger Woods coming to an end, some like Jason Day have already split with them. The 13-time PGA Tour winner has now taken a brutal shot at the company.
The Australian golfer signed with Nike in 2016 and since then has been wearing their apparel. He though has now moved on from them and compared how the clothing felt at times compared to others.

Speaking in an interview with Golf Digest, Day said:
There have been times that I'd be standing on the first tee and look over to see another golfer in essentially the same outfit as me. I'm excited to be able to go outside of the box and wear something that's dramatically different than what everyone is used to seeing in golf today.Jason Day on his partnership with Nike.
His departure from Nike is expected to see other golfers join him and split from the popular sports brand. Day though has already found someone new and is now representing them as their brand ambassador.
Jason Day signs with Malbon Golf as their brand ambassador
In a high-profile switch off the field, Jason Day has now left Nike behind and joined hands with Malbon Golf as their new brand ambassador. The former World No.1 was spotted donning the gear of Malbon golf while he got ready for the PGA Tour’s season opener, The Sentry.
For many Day seemed unrecognizable as everyone was customed to see him rock the Nike gear. He is now the first PGA Tour star to serve as the ambassador of Malbon Golf.

The 2015 PGA Championship winner claimed he was interested in wearing loose-fitting clothes rather than wearing tight ones. He further added wearing the tight clothing restricted his swing which was affecting his game.
I'm more interested in having a more relaxed, loose-fitting type of clothing...There's nothing worse than when you're playing golf and you put a sweater on or something like that and it just feels so restrictive. You're restricting your swing.Jason Day on his new clothing apparel as per the PGA Tour.
Whether these new clothes will have any effect on his gameplay remains to be seen, it is interesting to point out that he enjoyed a good season in 2023. His triumph at the AT&T Bryson Nelson ended a long drought of a PGA Tour win.
He also recorded eight top-10 finishes in the 2022-23 season and finished tied for the second spot at the Open Championship along with Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka, and Tom Kim. He recently also triumphed with Lydia Ko at the Grant Thornton Invitational, which showcased his resurgence in form.
