The PGA tour and LIV Golf are the new poles in Golf. Looks like the rivalry that was first seen among players will now move on to a rivalry between these two golf circuits and their events as the controversies between them are just increasing by the day.
With the Presidents Cup 2022 already underway at Quail Hollow in North Carolina, the temperature of this debate is just heating up. The LIV Golf rebels are not allowed to participate in the Presidents Cup because of PGA’s authority over it.

Jay Monahan says PGA will be stronger than ever
Jay Monahan, the PGA Commissioner was quite adamant about how the PGA tour has better partnerships, assets, and players to present a better competing golf circuit. The PGA made some relevant changes earlier this year to strengthen the game’s competitive angle.
When asked about LIV Golf and whether any improvement can be expected between the two golf circuits, Monahan said – “I don’t see it happening. When you look at where we are, and you think about words and actions, we’re currently in a lawsuit.”
“So coming together and having conversations, to me, that card is off the table and it has been for a long period of time.” Well, such straight shooting certainly makes this line of questioning go away for some time.
After making some alterations over the summer to bring about some relevant standout action to encounter LIV Golf’s format, Jay Monahan is excited to see what the future holds.
Although, he is very certain that The PGA will remain relevant with the top player and continue to conserve the traditional nature of the sport, creating a legacy throughout its way.
