“He has done it again”: John Daly disqualified from PGA Tour Championship event for bizzare reason

John Daly

John Daly, known for his flamboyant character on course is known for some of his other actions other than winning two Major titles. This time was no different, as he got disqualified for a bizarre reason.

In the Regions tradition, which is the first Major on the PGA Tour Champions schedule, Daly seemed to be struggling with his form quite a lot. However, at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama, the 56-year-old produced a four-under-par 68 to begin the first round of the tournament.

However, a poor showing from Daly on the second day meant that he would finish level-on-par, and would start the third day down in 16th place

There were still 36 holes of golf to be played yet, and Daly had enough time to catch up. However, the crowds will not be seeing any more of Daly for the rest of the event, as he seems to have been disqualified from the event.

It was revealed that John Daly had been disqualified for not signing his scorecard following the conclusion of the second round. This is the 5th time in his 541 PGA career starts that the American has been disqualified. Previously, the American has been disqualified for failing to sign his scorecard and another time when Daly threw his putter into the lake by the 18th green before walking off and packing his bags.
