As the golf world continues to revel in the afterglow of the 87th Masters champion, Jon Rahm, the Spanish golfer is already fixated on one of the most eagerly awaited events of the golf calendar – the Champions Dinner. In an interview with PGA Tour, Rahm shared his thoughts on the matter, revealing his plans for the illustrious evening.
Having made his debut at the Augusta National in 2017, Rahm is no stranger to the Masters. Ever since he consistently emerged as a top contender in the tournament, and his recent triumph at the 2023 Masters has made his place as one of the best golfers in the world. The Champions Dinner is a special tradition held annually at the Augusta National Golf Club where the previous year’s winner gets to host a dinner for past champions.
Rahm divulged how much he had cogitated on the Champions Dinner in the interview shared by the PGA Tour on Twitter. He said, “Chef Jose Andres is a really good friend of mine, so I’ll be working with him.”
Rahm also mentioned that he would be seeking inspiration from his fellow Spaniard, Ollie, to see what he had done in his dinner and how he could put his own twist on the event by saying “I also want to talk to Ollie, because we’re from the same part of Spain, to see what he did in his dinner, see if I can go a different route.”

When it comes to the menu for the Champions Dinner, Jon Rahm has already decided on a few key items. He plans to serve Spanish ham, also known as jambon, as an appetizer, and has chosen a dessert that he is keeping under wraps for now. He added, “I think I have one of the appetizers down, which would be jambon, Spanish ham, the dessert, which I won’t be disclosing, and the wine.”
According to PGA Tour, despite having some ideas, Rahm admitted that there is still a lot to decide, saying, “Everything in between is still up in the air. Those three things, I think I have down for now.”
Rahm’s excitement for the upcoming Champions Dinner is crystal clear and his efforts to make this event more clear and fans are happy to see him making the efforts. As Jon Rahm is busy finalizing the menu fans are more excited to predict how the event will be and what will be the final outcome of his efforts.
