Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tournament is searching for new avenues as its host. The LIV Golf Tour has been caught up in controversies recently for multimillion-dollar funding from the Saudi prince. The conjecture with Apple denying the streaming of LIV Golf and mentioning it to be too toxic and Donald Trump’s association with the Tour have all converged on the overhauling of the tournament.

In this hour of need, the South Wales Government has decided to lend a hand to the LIV, rather happily to settle down as its host. The New South Wales government is ‘Ready and willing to come to the table with Greg Norman for negotiations to close the deal.

What attracts the NSW Government to LIV?

The minister, Alister Henskens revealed that all the rebellion series along with its pomp and glamour welcome to NSW. “With some of the best courses in Australia, NSW is the perfect place to host major golf tournaments,” he said.

Norman commented that he had talks with the state minister to take the LIV Golf all Aussie in April next year. He mentioned that conversations were held and that negotiations were to follow the coming week in order to secure the NSW course.

Australian NSW’s interest lies in LIV Golf since the event is considered the biggest multi-dollar golf tournament at present. Some great faces are associated with the tour including Mcllroy and Woods. The crux of the reasons behind Norman and NSW’s willingness to bring LIV to its curses is that the economic impact will be massive, around $1.3bn every year.

The association of various well-known personalities with the LIV Golf and the human rights concerns after the alleged murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate has picked up concerns. In such a scenario, a path shift by LIV Golf looks like a forward-looking move for the tournament.

The registered golfers in the NSW will have a huge economic impact and a new avenue for them brought to their doorstep. The talks are expected to conclude soon and the fans keenly await the news!
