Lost the Championship but surely won hearts! Rickie Fowler never fails to please his fans. This time around, the professional golfer brought smiles to the faces of young fans who were cheering for him from the sidelines of the recently concluded Zozo Championship.

The 33-year-old golfer from America was on his way to lifting the title at the Zozo Championship but destiny had something else in store as he was edged out by Keegan Bradley. It’s been almost four years since Fowler last won a PGA Tour. He will have to wait now a little longer to end the drought.

However, he finished tied for second with Putnam thanks to his birdie on the 18th. Fowler finished one stroke ahead of Emiliano Grillo (13 under) and two shots ahead of Viktor Hovland, Sahith Theegala, and Hayden Buckley (12 under).

However, despite the loss – the 33-year-old golfer was gracious enough to greet his young fans and sign caps for every young fan who was waiting at the cue to meet him.

After the loss, Fowler spoke to the press and insisted that he gave it all and would like to congratulate the winner Keegan Bradley.

“Yeah, kind of bittersweet. Obviously wanted to get the job done and I felt very good going into today,” Fowler said. “Felt, you know, probably as good as you can feel out there. Final round, haven’t been there a whole lot in the last couple of years, really just didn’t give myself many opportunities until the end.”

“And I hit some darn good putts that it was like there was a cover over the hole. Gave it our all, left it all out there. Big congrats to Keegan, he made the putts, I didn’t. He earned it. But definitely excited about having a couple good finishes to start the season and a lot of good stuff coming.”
