“It’s all bulls**t,” Golfer Rickie Fowler HITS BACK at criticism regarding gameplay after Netflix’s Full Swing season 2 clip goes viral
Rickie Fowler has hit back at the critics who claimed his poor performances this season had been due to taking part in Netflix's Full Swing series instead of practicing golf.

The golf world recently saw a fun crossover with Formula 1 as the first-ever Netflix Cup took place. The tournament between four teams of golfers and racers saw Justin Thomas and Carlos Sainz emerge victorious. However, one man Rickie Fowler has now found himself in the middle of criticism.
The Netflix cup took place after the documentaries regarding Golf’s “Full Swing‘ and F1’s “Drive to Survive” became a hit among audiences. The “Full Swing” series is now in its second season. The fans would later comment on a clip regarding this.
Fowler who stars in the series along with some of his close peers Jordan Spieth, would receive criticism from the fans. One section of the audience claimed all his actions (taking part in the series instead of practicing) were the reason for his poor gameplay in the past few months. The American golfer would hit back at this and said:
“People saying, ‘It’s because of this why he’s struggling. Well, you shouldn’t be doing that, you should be working harder at golf. I think it’s all bullsh** to be honest. If those people talking sh** had the opportunity to have partnerships and do commercials and that was part of the deal, then they would do it too,” Rickie Fowler as per Kyle Porter of CBS Sports.
How did Rickie Fowler fare in the 2022-23 season?
While Rickie Fowler was quick to fire back at the critics regarding his participation in Full Swing and his performances, there is no denying that he did not have a great season. A person with his capabilities was one of the golfers, fans had their eyes on as the season began.
In the twenty-six events he took part in, he only managed to claim one win and one runner-up spot. The win came in June as he won the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Before that, he finished runner-up at the Zozo Championship in 2022. During these appearances, Fowler managed to make twenty-four cuts but finished in the top 10 on only eight occasions.
Since his triumph in July, he has failed to notch a single top-ten finish highlighting his struggles. Things did not go well at the Ryder Cup as well as he sat out most of the time. He even failed to win any of his matches as Team USA suffered a gruesome defeat.
Fowler though did manage to make over $7 million this season. Fans are hoping he can turn around his poor form and deliver with consistency as the new season looms over in a few months’ time.
