PGA Tour player Sam Burns will never forget how his 2023 Ryder Cup call turned out. Although Team USA captain Zach Johnson disturbed him during his very serious ‘business’ in the bathroom, that didn’t make the golfer irritated in the least. He was rather “crying” and trying to find a wipe to get out of the space and celebrate the special day.

Burns provided rather details of his call with Johnson, “I’m mid poop… I’m on the phone with him & I’m trying to wipe…”. This surely calls for a celebration but in the bathroom? While pooping? Well, everything has its own start, and this was just a bit more unique than the rest. Fans hilariously responded to his story, as one tweeted, “wipes are on the way,” while another noted, “Please tell me @netflix got this.”

This will be the first time that Sam Burns will represent Team USA, as one of the six captain’s picks. The story of Burns picking up the call was first told to Sirus XM’s Ryder Cup Radio Station. He said that he and his wife Caroline was out for coffee to pass the time just prior to Johnson’s call.

As soon as they got back home, nature called, rather hawkishly as Burns noted, “I had to go to the bathroom…like bathroom, bathroom.” “As soon as I sat down, Justin started texting me,” and just a few minutes later Johnson called. Justin Thomas’ text and Johnson’s call came at quite an impeccable time indeed.
