“Adam is in a good shape” – Steve Williams EMERGES out of retirement to assist Adam Scott in winning his elusive second major

Adam Scott | Steve Williams
The famous Steve Williams is once again set to dawn the bags on the golf course. Coming out of retirement, Williams will be seen carrying bags for Adam Scott in Australia next year. Adam is hell-bent to find that ‘Midas Touch’, that has kept a second major out of the Australian’s hands.
Williams assisted Adam Scott and his team to win the Masters in 2013. Steve will once again try to help Adam Scott at the Australian PGA Championship in the coming two weeks. It is set to be hosted by the Royal Queensland in Brisbane. Scott will most probably have his regular caddie – Greg Hearmont too alongside Williams.
The 42-year-old Steve Williams is famous for caddying with Tiger Woods for more than a decade (1999-2011), which has seen the duo win 13 major victories. He has also provided his services to the current CEO of LIV Golf Greg Norman back in the day, Ian Baker-Finch, and Raymond Floyd too.

Adam Scott can not wait to get back with Steve. He said – “For me it’s exciting to work again with Steve and see if we can rediscover the magic”. Adam believes the caddie-duo can help him perform at his best. “Having Steve and Greg doing a job share is going to help me get everything I need and that’s to be fresh at the biggest events” – shares Scott.
Adam Scott is trying to adapt to the modern times, stating – “As a player, you experience different points in your career. Right now on the PGA Tour is a time of change, and I’m adjusting to it”. Back to Steve now, he retired in 2017 after caddying for 4 decades. Just imagine the experience on this guy’s head. No surprise that Adam Scott requested his services.
Steve Williams is excited too about getting back with Scott and cherishing precious moments. Williams reckoned – “The time I spent caddieing for Adam was very memorable; helping him become the first Australian to win at Augusta.” Focusing on the matter at hand, Steve says – “I feel Adam is in a good shape with his game, and I’m fresh having not caddied for a few years, so I’ll bring a lot of enthusiasm”. Let’s wait and watch what the duo delivers in Australia”.
