Despite both working on the same page, exhorting the same effort Tiger Woods has handed the crown of appreciation to Rory McIlory. He continued to speak in favor of Rory, stating,  “I wasn’t playing that much. He had to answer all these questions.”

We had all the meetings and conference calls together and were communicating and in lock-step behind each other.” “But I was not out front having to deal with questions in the media, he had to deal with that and not only that he had to try and play and win events, which he was able to do. So hats off to him for doing what he did this entire year.”

Even during The Match, Woods complimented the World No. 1 saying that he has no fear of going on the field with Rory by his side. This year, Woods’ injuries have stopped him from acting on the field too much. In the two matches he competed, he used a cart to move around.

Other than partnering up on the field, the duo has also been preparing for a business partnership with TMRW Sports. This will feature a golf league of 18 PGA Tour players debuting in 2024. They are also involved with Golf Channel’s Mike McCarley and the PGA Tour itself.

Regarding their partnership with TMRW, Rory noted, “We’ve been working on this for two years”. “I think it’s a great opportunity for PGA Tour players to show a different side of themselves, prime time on Monday night. I think it’s great for brand exposure to try to engage a different audience.”
