The struggle for Tiger Woods has been eminent throughout the year, as the veteran has struggled with his leg injury after the car crash last year. Despite making the final rounds of several tournaments Woods has had to pull out of them and even not play some important Tournaments this year to protect his physical health. His dream to play at the British Open also ended quite quickly, as he was out in the first round itself after a terrible day on the course.

This has caused people to question how and when he will make a comeback next, or is it time for the vet to now retire. Woods has already specified that he will not be playing a full schedule again, and it is most likely that the next year will revolve mostly around the Open and the Masters. His caddie hinted at the same, but said that Tiger may play just one more time in 2022.

When asked about how many times Woods will play before the Masters in April next year, LaCava said around 3 to 4 times. “I am hoping he will play in December in the Hero,” said the caddie to Euro Sport. He hopes that he will be able to get Tiger ready and comfortable to play another tournament before the end of the year.

“I’ll say, ‘Hey, Tiger, listen. If you’re starting to feel better, maybe in October, November, maybe I’ll come down [to Florida] for a couple weeks, we’ll hang out. We don’t have to play every day, we don’t have to practice every day. I’ll be there and maybe give you a little motivation. We’ll go down and play and practice a little bit here and there to get ready for the Hero and get ready for the following year of 2023.’ Get him ready in any respect that he needs,” said LaCava on Tiger Woods playing once again this year.
