Talor Gooch has just marked his name amongst the golf community by winning two back-to-back events of LIV Golf in Australia and Singapore. However, as new details emerged, it seems like Talor and golfing maestro Tiger Woods have had a private conversation regarding the rebel golf circuit at the 87th Augusta Masters.

As everyone knows, Woods is a vehement critic of the Saudi-funded LIV Golf League and has criticized the circuit’s existence several times. However, Talor Gooch’s revelations on his conversation with Tiger throw more light into what the 15-time Major winner thinks of LIV Golf at large.

In a conversation with J.J. Kileen and John Peterson at the Fore the People podcast, Gooch shared how he and Tiger Woods engaged in a conversation at the Augusta National Golf Club during this year’s Masters. He says, “So at Augusta, one of the mornings I was warming up, Tiger was right next to me warming up. And he was like, ‘Man, you’re with Bubba’s team now, right?’ And I was like ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘You all are going to Adelaide, right?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ He goes, ‘Man, they got some great golf there.”

This gives the impression that Tiger is keenly watching the competition and keeping tabs on the league, which he was previously so much against.

Talor Gooch is currently on a high for success, winning two back-to-back LIV events in Adelaide and Singapore. However, speaking to Tiger Woods at the Masters, Gooch did get some good advice and mentoring from the five-time Masters champion. Speaking further about his interaction with Tiger, Gooch reveals how Woods thinks LIV is an “endless pit of money.”

According to Gooch, Tiger adds, “They’ve spent probably close to $2 billion this year. Who’s to say they can’t spend $4 or $5 billion next year? You know, we just don’t know. It’s an endless pit of money. But that doesn’t necessarily create legacies either.”

Furthermore, Tiger also shared an experience of himself in Singapore, where he had the experience of going to a casino with the apparent owner of Disney of Asia. That person, according to Gooch, had taught Tiger to play baccarat. Tiger adds, “We go over there, and this guy starts out playing million-dollar hands. This was earlier in my career. I quickly learned the difference between being rich and being rich rich.’

So indeed, Talor Gooch learned from Tiger the experience of being rich from playing golf and being rich in wealth. LIV Golf has spent a lot to sign the players currently under contract, with the current LIV golfers enjoying a lifetime’s fortune at the new golf circuit.

Gooch further reveals that, unlike other fans, Tiger was well up-to-date with all the happenings at LIV Golf. He says, “I guarantee you, if you were to ask 95% of golf fans the week of the Masters where the LIV tour was going the next two weeks in a row, there’s no way they would have been able to tell you Australia and Singapore. So Tiger’s paying attention.”

It would be wrong to deny the interests of LIV Golf in Tiger Woods, as Greg Norman had big plans to land some of the best names in the sport for the new circuit. While they could scour Phil Mickelson for $200 million, it is rumored that Tiger Woods was offered a massive $700 million contract from LIV. However, Woods rejected this offer and remained loyal to the PGA Tour.
