Ahead of the 2024 Masters tournament, golf great Tiger Woods seems to have taken some drastic steps. To avoid any distractions before the first major of the year, the 48-year-old golfer is reported to have ‘eliminated s*x‘.
Woods, who last appeared at the Genesis Invitational in February, will be making his second start of the year at the Augusta National next week. He was forced to withdraw at the Riviera course after coming down with a flu.
This came a day after he was seen ordering some fast food leading to fans pointing out this as one of the reason for his illness. To make sure something like that does not happen again, he is reported to be eating healthy and working “really hard” in the gym.
He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated s*x. He does that now when he’s preparing: no s*x until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.Tiger Woods’ friend said as per New York Post.
These words from him has once again brought the personal life of Woods under the spotlight. At the moment, Woods is reported to be single after his six-year relationship with Erica Herman ended in 2023.
Brandel Chamblee comments on Tiger Woods’ chances of winning again
Since his car crash in 2021, Tiger Woods‘ appearance on the golf course has been limited. While his rare sightings have drawn in a huge crowd, many are wondering whether he will ever win again. Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee seems optimistic about his chances and has backed him on winning another tournament.
Woods currently has 82 PGA Tour wins under his belt and another win would see him break the tie with Sam Snead for the most victories. Chamblee pointed out Woods’ skills still look great and sharp to him.
It would not surprise me if Tiger Woods won another golf tournament. I think there will be times this year when he plays where his ball speed will get up over 175 miles an hour. I think his golf swing still looks great. As far as I can tell it looks like his chipping is sharp. Putter looks pretty darned good. It wouldn’t surprise me if he won another golf tournament.Brandel Chamblee on Tiger Woods as per Golfweek.
Woods has also expressed confidence in himself that he could win again. Given his current form, the odds are obviously against him. However, golf has produced some great comeback stories in the past which could give some optimism to the fans to see Woods triumph again.
