Tiger Woods is the GOAT of Golf. Period. There are no doubts about it as in other sports like football or tennis. What has made Woods stand out from the rest? This is a question many professionals would have asked in order to imitate that thing to make themselves great.
No one has found the answer yet because, despite the downfall, the comeback, injuries, and now fewer competitions, Tiger Woods still stands out as the best.
Tiger Woods captained the U.S. team back in 2019 when he led them to the Presidents Cup victory. Just like that Tiger has won individual and team accolades throughout his career wriggling himself through tough spots, keeping nerves of steel and that calm composure around himself.

Tiger Woods’s frightening moment at the Presidents Cup
Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy are two of the biggest names in Golfing world. A team comprising them two would certainly be difficult to beat. Although not at this year’s President Cup that is underway at Quail Hollow in North Carolina, Tiger Woods is still helping the U.S. as Davis Love III has him on his speed dial in case of any developments.
“The most nerve-wracking experience I’ve ever had was going to a playoff with Ernie Els in South Africa,” Woods shares in the TGL clip. “I read my par putt from behind the ball and all I could see was nothing but a sea of red. The whole team is together”.
“I miss this putt, I lose it for all of them. And that’s an experience I’ve never felt as an individual.” You rarely see Tiger that ecstatic after a putt that he would have done a million times in his life.
Golf-heads have often criticized Tiger for not giving importance to team events but Toger choosing this particular memory shows that Tiger Woods is indeed a team person and does what needs to be done whether in an individual capacity or for a team effort.
But as Woods stated that these bonds that develop during those tense moments no matter the final result, definitely end up for life. And we cannot agree more.
