Tiger Woods and his son Charlie have been a great show to watch for all the fans. Woods senior has also admitted that his son might even outdrive him at one point. Recently in 2022, Charlie competed in the Notah Begay III Junior National Championship. His stats were impressive, which made his father proud of him.

In the tournament, Charlie shot 72-69-71 for a 1 under 211 total to finish 11th in the 12-13 age division. He also made 13 birdies and an eagle during the course of the three days in the tournament.

Speaking of his son, Tiger says,

“I just want him to enjoy whatever he’s doing. I’m supporting him wherever he wants to go, and obviously providing opportunities for that direction. As a parent our job and responsibility is to provide opportunity and support. It’s been fun that he’s taken a passion to something that I’ve enjoyed.”

It seems like even Charlie is quite satisfied with his performance and strives to work harder. Describing his performance, he adds,

“The biggest thing was just clean up the big numbers. That’s the main thing. Get the misses tighter, and practice more. Just have fun.”

Surely, it’s essential to have fun in any field if a person wants to flourish in. That brings the best out of the player, and Charlie understands it very well. Speaking of his father’s caddying skills, he says, He forgot my putter a few times. That’s really it.

Tiger emphasizes on how working as a team with his son will help him grow and learn better as a sportsman. He appreciates Charlie’s performance, saying,

“It’s hard to describe, because it’s so amazing to be able to be with Charlie out there and fight through it together and do it as a team. Just the fact that he earned his way into the event by shooting the lowest round he’s ever shot. To go out there and play the way he did. Obviously, lots of lessons learned but I think overall the big picture is he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun for both of us.”

Indeed, the father-son duo playing is something the fans love watching. The golfing community looks forward to more of Charlie and Tiger Woods’ performances together.
