Ever since the month of April, golf fans have been anticipating updates regarding the return of Tiger Woods. It seems that the wait is coming to an end as he is once again spotted on the greens. The 47-year-old was once again seen at the range where he would chip some shots during the TW Invitational.

He has been out of action since the Masters. An ankle surgery meant the 15-time major champion would miss several months of action. During that rehab time, he was occasionally seen alongside his son Charlie Woods. The father-son duo had been captured at several junior championships.

This sighting of him gives the fans a sigh of relief. Woods who was involved in a horrific car crash in 2021, had faced several issues with his body since then. This development gives users the hope that he can be seen at the Hero Challenge in December 2023. With the TGL set to kick off in January, this could be the time the golf veteran could be seen playing regular rounds of golf.

Tiger Woods meets PGA Championship hero Michael Block at the TW Invitational

One of the recent fairytale stories in the golfing world has belonged to Michael Block. The 46-year-old pro stole the spotlight at the PGA Championship and has since earned the plaudits of the fans. They have even teased him as the new “G.O.A.T” of golf, a replacement for Tiger Woods. There was a big development this week as Block would later meet Woods at the TW Invitational.

Block was spotted alongside Woods and Max Homa. This picture has since gone viral on social media as fans are now eager to see the matchup between Block and Woods and settle the title of the “undisputed GOAT” of golf.

As exciting as that matchup sounds, there is still no fixed timeline for the return of Woods. Whether the American golfer will play regular rounds of golf also remains to be seen. If he does not play regularly, there are some roles that could keep him tied to the greens.

One such role is the captaincy one for the 2025 Ryder Cup. Ever since the idea was first developed by Paul Azinger, fans and golf experts have been nominating his name to succeed Zach Johnson. Whether he takes up that role alongside his player-director duties remains to be seen. One thing is for sure – his return to the golf course is now getting closer.
