The legend of Tiger Woods knows no end. The golf great has set several records and won numerous titles in his evergreen career. Such has his impact being on the sport, several of his competitors have grown afraid of going up against him. While the 15-time major champion has overseen various challengers in his time, he also noticed that some were intimidated by him.

This led to him giving an iconic mic-dropping speech at a charity event called “TigerJam”. This took place just before the Open Championship that year. He was spotted telling the crowd about how he can only control his actions and is not concerned about how others felt in his presence. This led to him further using the f-word which later stunned the crowd.

The only thing I can control is I. Now if I do this more efficiently than you, if you get intimidated, that’s your own f***ing issue,” Woods said.

Since this incident, a lot of things have changed on and off-field for Tiger Woods. After this expletive bomb drop of a speech, he would go on to claim a few more wins. However, none of it was bigger than the 2019 Masters triumph. This broke an eleven-year drought for a major championship for Woods as he earned his fifth exclusive green jacket.

Things took a massive change when Woods got injured in a horrific car crash in Los Angeles in 2021. The golf great was called fortunate by doctors to survive the crash. The accident did have a major impact on his career as the now 47-year-old continues to struggle for fitness. He was last spotted at the 2023 Masters where he withdrew mid-tournament due to injury.

Woods is now getting ready to prepare for the role of player director on the PGA Tour board. It was earlier announced that he would be joining in as the sixth member of this team. As he continues to recover to full fitness, this move gives him the opportunity to stay connected with the sport he loves. He is also set to take part in the TGL, an indoor-golf competition, founded by him and Rory McIlroy in 2024.

Recently he was also spotted “walking fine” alongside his son Charlie Woods at an event in Florida. This has given the fans some hope to see one of the greatest athlete of this generation, mount a special comeback to the greens of golf.
