The golf war between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf continues. While the merger has been announced, the deal has not been finalized yet. Golfers from both tours have taken shots at each other while comparing them. Golf veteran Tiger Woods has now taken a massive swipe at LIV Golf while comparing his new TGL golf league.

The TGL league co-founded by Woods and fellow PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy is set to start in January 2024. The inaugural season of this new tournament will see six teams compete against each other. Since the plan was relieved, it has been compared to the LIV Golf on multiple instances.

LIV Golf, funded by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, has been slammed and bashed for its structure of team play. With the TGL following a similar team-play structure, fans were quick to draw comparisons with the breakaway tour. Woods has now taken a dig at LIV while claiming he had no idea what was happening away from the PGA Tour circuit.

In a post shared on X by NUCLR Golf, Woods was said to have had an interview with AP. In the interview, he took a shot at LIV Golf and said:

"Some of the stuff I've seen in LIV... I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. Here it's very simple."

While these comments were Woods are sure to bring in some more controversy between the two tours, he did have a shocking conversation with Talor Gooch. During the Masters, he and Gooch had a conversation regarding the money involved in LIV. Some users have pointed that out and attacked Woods for this.

Tiger Woods announced as owner/player for Jupiter team of TGL

The name of Tiger Woods has been revolving around more recently because of this anticipated return. While he recently gave a massive update regarding his health, he has no timeline for his return. This has led to the fans speculate about his return. As the golfing world awaited further information on this, there was a big announcement regarding him and the TGL.

The 47-year-old veteran is now set to represent his hometown area as he was named the owner/player of the Jupiter team of TGL. This is the sixth team in the league besides Boston, LA, New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco franchises.
