The Presidents Cup is up in September, and excitement is reigning high. The biennial tournament is famously held between the United States of America and an overseas team that comprises of a team of golfers from all over the world, except for Europe.

The teams of 12 perform for four days, this time beginning on a Thursday and raising money for charity all the same. The Presidents Cup is held in a team style competition and provides and exciting weekend for golfers and fans alike. Since its inception, USA has won the Presidents Cup a whopping 11 times, while the International Team has won it just once.

With the Cup soon to begin, the International team was just recently announced- and the announcement has started off with a bang. “We understand exactly the mountain that we have in front of us: Possibly the best American team ever assembled if you look at them on paper with their accomplishments and what their world rankings are,” said the team Captain Trevor Immelman according to ESPN.

The team will comprise of Sebastian Munoz, Taylor Pendrith, Mito Pereira, Corey Conners, Hideki Matsuyama, Si Woo Kim, K.H. Lee, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Cameron Davis, Tom Kim, Adam Scott and Sungjae Im.

Yet, the team is confident and ready to take on the challenge. “But hey, when you’re a little kid growing up outside of the U.S. and you dream of playing on the PGA Tour, you dream of playing in major championships at the highest level. This is everything you’ve ever dreamed of — is having an opportunity to play against the best on their home soil, and that’s what we’re going to have here in a couple weeks.” However, Twitter begs to differ
