The newly inaugurated LIV Golf series has caused quite the tension in the golf world, leaving a lot of controversy. As many golfers are slowly making the switch from the PGA Tour to LIV Series, several people have their ideas and opinions as to what to make of this split that the golf world seems to be experiencing. The latest addition to the LIV Series is former world no. 1, Brooks Koepka and Abraham Ancer.
Recently it was Patrick Cantlay who came under scrutiny at a press conference, as he also seemed to be making the shift to the LIV Golf Series. He was asked whether he was made an offer and if he was interested in it, to which he replied, “My team handles that kind of stuff. I haven’t had any direct contact with him recently. I don’t have anything like that outstanding.” This was an obvious attempt to deflect the question that had been asked, suggesting that he was involved with the LIV Series.

Twitter had its fair share of opinions as the reply left people questioning Cantlay’s motives. Some people though that he was under a non disclosure agreement while he did business with LIV Golf. For others it was quite a hilarious affair as they made a joke out of his statement.
