The LIV Golf series has caused its fair share of controversy since its inception, as the Saudi backed Series seems to have taken the world by storm. However, their third event especially has caused outrage, as ex US President Donald Trump is hosting it on his golf course at the Trump National Golf Bedminster, New Jersey. This has especially angered the victims and families of 9/11, who are outraged at the fact that the controversial series is getting so much support.

The third event will be taking place on 80km from the attack site, and 9/11 chair Terry Strada is not happy about it. Strada said, “Over 1,000 children, including my three, were orphaned when 750 innocent New Jersians were slaughtered. Friends, neighbors, and strangers comforted us.” The outraged families have decided to create an ad, calling shame on Trump for hosting the LIV Event.

The group, 9/11 Justice, has released a television ad Tuesday calling it ‘disgusting’ that the tournament is being held ’50 miles from Ground Zero,’ flashing onscreen an image of Bedminster’s welcome sign. “How much money to turn your back on your own country? You’re taking money from an evil regime, one family member asks in the 30-second spot according to Daily Mail.

The group has said that the ads will air on New York City and Bedminster markets, as well as run on cable on Fox News Channel- a channel which Trump typically watches. The group feels that the golfers should be ashamed to be playing in the series and taking ‘blood money’.
