Grayson Waller found out real quick what tit for tat actually means on this week’s Raw. The Aussie and his tag team partner, Austin Theory, were interviewed by Cathy Kelley on the show. The female correspondent was trying to address the elephant in the arena, which was Kelley alluding to the conspicuous trouble in paradise between Waller and Theory of late.

The Aussie Icon cut Kelley right there and quipped that the only elephant in the room was her mom. For the unversed, the 36-years-old was raised by a single mother and is extremely close to her. Therefore, the Waller dig might’ve not sat well with the WWE interviewer. But shortly after talking down on Kelley, Waller segued into apologizing to Theory for inadvertently putting him in a tough spot with Sheamus last week.

The former US Champion wasn’t impressed by his partner’s remarks and asserted that he could’ve beaten The Celtic Warrior with some more time to prepare for the match. Waller, just as usual, was about to break it to Theory that he’d talked to Raw GM Adam Pearce about bestowing a rematch on the 27-year-old. However, Theory didn’t fall for it this time.

The Elephant in the room, you mean, your mom?

The Georgia native said that, for a change, he’d conversed with Pearce and inserted Waller into a match with Sheamus on next week’s Raw. Speaking of the latter, The Great White had returned to WWE programming recently after being off for over 120 days.

Grayson Waller planning an early WWE retirement for John Cena

It was recently announced that this year’s Crown Jewel PLE will head to Western Australia on October 11. Emanating from the RAC Arena in Perth, WWE will also host live tapings of SmackDown on October 10 and Monday Night Raw on October 13 from the same venue. Grayson Waller did the media rounds alongside Rhea Ripley in their homeland in the wake of the upcoming WWE takeover.

Waller was a guest on The Project, where he confirmed John Cena‘s presence for the premium live event. The Moment Maker said that it’ll be the Undisputed WWE Champion’s last appearance in Australia as an active in-ring performer. While the 35-year-old did give Cena his flowers, he also reminded the actor that he’s coming into his territory.

Waller teased inevitably crossing paths with The Cenation Leader and added that maybe it’d be the end of Cena’s farewell tour. The Aussie Icon warned the 17-time world champion to stay away from him, or else there’ll be repercussions. Cena just escaped the wrath of Randy Orton at Backlash. They put on a show, much to the delight of the fans, one last time.

Why is Grayson Waller frustrated with Austin Theory?

It’s been a while since Grayson Waller and Austin Theory were put together as a tag team. However, despite having won the doubles silverware at WrestleMania XL, they couldn’t double down on the hype. WWE has teased on numerous occasions that Waller and Theory might break up, but the company hasn’t pulled the trigger yet.

But what exactly is the bone of contention between the A-Town Down Under members? Waller tried explaining it on The Amin Show. The Oz underscored the difference in ideologies between himself and Theory. While the latter plays a bad guy character on WWE television, he’s completely the opposite in real life.

Waller said that Vince McMahon‘s former protégé loves to cater to the needs of the fans. Meanwhile, The Aussie Icon, as he claimed, is none of those things. And that’s what frustrates Waller. Even though he admitted that they’re supremely talented as a tag team, both the wrestlers have a different frame of mind, which, at times, perturbs Waller.
