Current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has cemented himself as one of WWE’s biggest stars. In just a few years, he has impressed not only fans but also some of the greatest legends to step into the ring, including The Undertaker, who has praised The Ring General. However, the 37-year-old had a different take on The Deadman’s coaching of young talents.
Recently, Gunther appeared as a guest on WWE’s new series, Legends & Future Greats. In the show, legends like Booker T, Bully Ray, Mickie James, and The Undertaker mentor amateur wrestlers on how to it big in WWE, with competitors vying for a contract. While discussing matchups with the legends, the Austrian wrestler posed a question to The Phenom that even left him stumped.
The Undertaker took Olympian Tyra Mae Steele under his wing, guiding her through the competition. Earlier in the show, the World Heavyweight Champion mentored her and advised her to focus on her skills, recognizing her potential. Gunther then confronted The Deadman, questioning why she didn’t feel at her best despite having him as her coach.
Why does she not understand yet she’s a killer? No disrespect, you as her coach, why does she not understand that yet?

At first, The Undertaker was taken aback by his approach but soon realized he had a point. As for Gunther’s WWE journey, he is set to face Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41.The Ring General has repeatedly stated that the 2025 Royal Rumble winner is not on his level. However, Jey has refused to back down and now has his brother, Jimmy Uso, by his side. Only time will tell whether the Imperium leader can retain his title at the Show of Shows.
Bully Ray had an amusing reaction to Jimmy Uso slapping Gunther on the last week’s episode of Raw
Even though Jey Uso won the 2025 Royal Rumble, his confidence has been slowly fading as WrestleMania approaches. Gunther had been dominating him week after week, leaving The Yeet Master with no way to fight back. On the latest episode of Raw, he had a chance to turn the tables on the champion, but he slipped, allowing The Ring General to capitalize instead.

During a backstage segment, as the 39-year-old star battled self-doubt, his older brother Jimmy Uso stepped in to lift his spirits. He reignited Jey’s confidence just in time for the biggest challenge of his career. Big Jim then confronted the World Heavyweight Champion, delivering a hard slap before challenging him to a match on the next episode of Raw. WWE legend Bully Ray had an amusing take on the segment.
Holy s***, how frickin’ hard did Jimmy smack GUNTHER? Dude, that was one hell of a crack upside the head. Jimmy cracked GUNTHER so hard, he thought he was WALTER again.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the Hall of Famer was shocked by how hard Jimmy slapped the Austrian superstar. He even joked that the slap made Gunther feel like he was WALTER again. The London fans will be expecting a ruthless performance from The Ring General as he seeks revenge for the humiliation the 39-year-old star put him through.
Gunther is going to wrestle in his third ever WrestleMania match
Gunther made his main roster debut after WrestleMania 38 and went on to have a dominant reign as Intercontinental Champion. He defended the title in some of his best matches against Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, and Chad Gable. At WrestleMania 39, he delivered one of the greatest triple threat matches of all time in a classic all-European battle with Sheamus and McIntyre.

The Ring General held the title for another full year, and as WrestleMania XL approached, it seemed like he had no worthy challengers left. However, Sami Zayn stepped up to challenge him at the Show of Shows. The champion underestimated him, dominating the match and even arguing with his wife at ringside. But there was a reason Zayn was called the Ultimate Underdog, as he pulled out all the stops and secured a shocking victory.
The Austrian star is set to enter his third consecutive WrestleMania as champion, holding a 1-1 record at the event. Many fans believe he will further solidify the legacy of the World Heavyweight Title by defeating Jey. Meanwhile, others are backing the 2025 Royal Rumble winner, arguing that his world title victory is long overdue.
