The 2026 NASCAR season witnessed Hailie Deegan’s return to stock car racing, after a failed stint in the Indy Next Series. She made an incredible comeback in the ARCA Series, driving for Bill McAnally Racing. The 25-year-old racer won the ARCA West Race at Madera Speedway, her first since 2019, and is currently in the top-5 in the championship table.
At Phoenix, Deegan talked about her future goals, as she doesn’t have any seat secured for the 2027 season. The racer wants to make comeback to Truck Series next year and redeem herself from the mistake of the past. She raced in the third division from 2021 till 2023, but failed make a real difference.
Whatever I do, I want to stay in racing for as long as possible. That’s my goal. I just, I love racing. It’s part of my life. It’s everything in my life. And so next year, I would love to go Truck racing again.

A failed 2024 NASCAR O’Reilly Series stint forced Hailie Deegan to try her luck in open wheel racing in 2025. But with the 2026 return to ARCA, she seems to realize stock car racing is her jam. The major challenge at the moment is the lack of a proper sponsor alongside significant budget.
Working on everything we possibly can to be able to move forward and keep digging at it. Obviously, it’s a lot. You got to get a lot of sponsor commitments and everything to kind of end up there. So, working on stuff, but if I had my dream scenario and I guess unlimited budget, that’s where I would like to go.

Further talking about the point, the female racing sensation admitted that at the moment her racing career is stuck in uncertainty. But she is determined to restart her career, with a dream seat in Trucks, and is actively working behind the scenes to find the right opportunity.
I wish I could give you guys like a for sure answer. I don’t even know for sure for myself at all. We’re still working on stuff, but obviously dream scenario would be to be able to go Truck racing. If everything works out and everything keeps building and growing, that would be great to end up there. I wish I could say, cause I wish I knew myself, but I don’t. So, still working on it.

Hailie Deegan reveals the hardest part of racing world
In the same conversation, the tars racer/YouTuber talked about the what she thinks is the hardest part of building a racing career. Deegan admitted that it’s really challenging to find the right sponsors that could help drivers thrive in the sport.

That’s the hardest part in the racing world: being able to get those sponsor commitments so early so you can tell everyone what you’re doing.
Hailie Deegan said.
The comments from the racer are on point and it’s not surprise that Deegan is finding it hard to find sponsors compared to her last stint in NASCAR. Back then she was a female racer with unlimited potential, but the failed stint is making the sponsors rethink their choice, which shows how hard it is to get a second chance in motorsports.
