Victor Wembanyama is a league of his own at the moment and could be for years to come. After helping the San Antonio Spurs finish second in the Western Conference this season, he has led them to their first NBA Finals in 12 years.

The Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers in five games in the first round before knocking out the Minnesota Timberwolves in six games. In their first Western Conference Finals in seven years, they took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in a highly anticipated matchup and came out victorious in seven games.

Former All-Star Tracy McGrady was asked whether Wembanyama is already the face of the league or needs to win the championship.

He’s the face of the league. That man is the best player on both ends of the court. No one in our game has the impact that Wemby has on the basketball court, I’m sorry.
