Despite losing out his final match in the qualifiers, Bublik qualified as a ‘lucky loser’ and has shown tremendous grit to make it this far in the ATP 500 event.

Talking about the performance in the tournament, Bublik made a splendid comeback in the main draw after qualifying as a ‘lucky loser’. The 23-year old Kazakh got the better of Alberto Ramos Vinolas 6-2, 7-6 in the first round.
On the other hand, Felix Auger-Aliassime had to work hard before coming through Italian Lorenzo Sunego in the Round of 32. The 20-year World No.21 after rather easily closing out the first set, found the going tough in the second before eventually winning the contest in straight sets 6-2, 7-6.
