England is living the chaos of The Hundred and are witnessing some serious magic with the bat. With just 100 balls in their armory, batters are going ballistic in their stroke making. The last week saw Liam Livingstone from the Birmingham Phoenix take the crowd by storm when tore into Rashid Khan.
Many appreciated Jordan Cox‘s insane four sixes in 5 balls recently taking the Oval Invincibles over the line. Heinrich Klaasen from the Manchester Originals now has joined the list with an unreal switch off gear in his last match.
The Originals were up against the Northern Superchargers and were put into bat. With the openers departing early, the star pair of Rachin Ravindra and Jos Buttler brought stability to the innings and added serious impetus to it. The pair were separated when the Originals were 102-3 in 64 balls.
Heinrich Klaasen walked in and looked like a shadow of himself struggling to maintain composure. Klaasen has looked a little off color in recent times with the bat after a dismal outing in the IPL as well. At one point, the batter was struggling with just 8 runs off 11 balls reducing the scoring rate big time. Meanwhile, bowlers like Matthew Potts and Mitchell Santner were able to keep the dangerous batter quiet.

It was only when Klaasen reverse swept Santner that he absolutely tore into the Superchargers. He smashed Santner for a huge six before taking down Adil Rashid in the next set for 12 runs. The South African star finished powerfully against the pace of Potts taking him down for 18 runs in just his final five balls.
From a struggling 8 off 11, Klassen finished with a strong 50 off 25 balls. He scored 42 runs off the next 14 balls to dent the confidence of the Superchargers. The Originals finished on a score of 171. The Superchargers were way off their plan chasing it as the Klassen effect derailed them big time. They kept on losing wickets and despite the efforts of David Miller, they got bundled out for just 114 in 87 balls.
How is the points table shaping up as the Hundred crosses its halfway mark?
Halfway into the tournament, fans are getting a rough idea of who the top three teams will be before the knockout stages. The Oval Invincibles and the Trent Rockets have separated themselves from the rest of the lot. Banking 3 wins in 4 matches both teams look set to end in the top 2 unless any of them doesn’t finish the tournament well.

With the top team directly making it to the final, there might be a crucial tussle between the two teams as well. However, the final spot is far from being decided. The middle muddle has been formed, and five teams are in the hunt for the final spot.
The Northern Superchargers look a step ahead of the others with an extra win. Southern Brave, Manchester Originals, Birmingham Phoenix and London Spirit are all tied at 8 points each. The future matches might act as knockouts for a couple of these teams and slip ups may take the qualification spot away. All eyes are on the Invincibles as they look favorites as of now to defend their title.
