Russell Westbrook has been the most criticized player in the league so far in the season. The veteran guard has never been the same since he decided to join the Los Angeles Lakers when Anthony Davis and LeBron James recruited him to come over to L.A. Russell Westbrook also known as “Mr. Triple Double” has been a changed man since he joined the veteran roster as he falls short every time whenever the team needs him to step up. This season he is averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1 steal and 0.3 blocks per game.
Recently, the Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers dominated the LeBron James led Los Angeles Lakers for four straight quarters. The game has once been seen close and even the Lakers ran a comeback as Malik Monk, Russell Westbrook and other stars went up hot. But soon the Clippers shut downed everything and won by 21 points. The final box score stands at 132-111 favoring the Clippers. Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are ranked as the 9th seed in the western conference with the record of 27 wins and 35 losses at .435.
Russell Westbrook in the game had 17 points, 3 assists and 8 rebounds while also getting a highlight-worthy bucket against the big guy Ivica Zubac. But still, he is on the critical end of fans as they criticize him for his play on Reggie Jackson where he purposely tried to trip him down and the result of his play just got did him wrong. Fans react to Russell Westbrook’s dirty play on Reggie Jackson
With five minutes and thirty-five seconds remaining for the game to end a foul was called on Russell Westbrook as he pulled out a dirty trick of trying to trip the driving in Reggie Jackson down. The play can be a result of frustration as the Lakers were down by twenty-two points or the air kick fake drive in move pulled by Reggie. But Reggie Jackson was nowhere holding himself back as in the next possessions he drilled a three-pointer on Russ and got it settled.
