The Golden State Warriors defeated the Wizards 127-118 on Monday in Washington, making up for their defeat to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. The Warriors turned an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit into a nine-point victory thanks to a 41-point explosion from superstar Stephen Curry.

Due to the loud cheers from the crowd anytime Curry made an important shot down the stretch. Late in the game, the 34-year-old received MVP chants, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr compared Curry to Jordan in the post-game interview.

Kerr said, “He’s the modern MJ. I used to see this playing with the Bulls – half the crowd’s got red 23 jerseys on. Now half the crowd has blue and yellow 30 jerseys. Steph transcends the game. He elicits emotion from people because he’s so awe-inspiring with his play. No matter where we go, there are people cheering for him and can’t wait to see him perform…I think people can relate to him because he’s not this superhero in terms of his size and strength.”

Curry played over 38 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back in just his fourth game following a shoulder injury that caused him to miss 11 games. Stephen Curry is “breaking through barriers” on his road to recovery, according to Kerr, and the Warriors need him to be at or close to his peak as they get ready for more epic encounters this week in Boston and Cleveland.

Steph Curry after Golden State Warriors win over Washington Wizards: “It’s the balance between the free flow & chaotic offense”

On Monday night, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards in a decisive victory. Curry was able to control the ball and help his team to a significant victory after his last game against the Chicago Bulls, which saw him make eight turnovers.

Curry said after the match “The way we play. People hear us say it all the time, it’s a balance between free flow and a kind of chaotic offense and taking some chances. You’re gonna have some turnovers, but it’s the type of turnovers, and then obviously you can’t have ones like last night. Where every time we try and get over the hump either.

“I was traveling or throwing it to the other team. Turnovers are killing our momentum. I had a few tonight, but fewer. The right type of turnovers and we got great shots pretty much the whole game. That’s our formula, with our style of play.” he further added.
