Holger Rune and Jannik Sinner reignite rivalry
The match between Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune is expected to be a very exciting and competitive one. Rune and Sinner have met twice on clay court before and twice on hard court. Their head to head stands at 2-2.

Their first encounter was at the 2022 Sofia Open, where Rune advanced after Sinner retired in the third set due to injury. They met again in the semifinals of the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters, with Rune securing a victory in three sets.
Their last two encounters were won by Sinner. The Italian claimed his first win over Rune at the 2023 Nitto ATP Finals during the round-robin stage, prevailing in three sets. Their most recent match was in April 2024 at the Monte- Carlo Masters quarterfinals, where Sinner triumphed in three sets.
While Rune enters the fourth round seemingly well prepared and unintimidated to face the World No. 1, Sinner’s form has also been great throughout the initial rounds of the tournament. The Italian progressed to the fourth round only dropping one set en route.
