Crafting Locator Map and its uses in Minecraft

In Minecraft, maps are essential tools for navigating. They can help identify other players and locate previously visited places or structures. In addition, one of the hardest achievements requires players to complete nine adjacent maps precisely.

And a Locator Map makes everything feel like a breeze in Minecraft! This item is beneficial, and using a handheld map, the player may plot the surface characteristics of the places they visit. The crafting recipe for creating a Locator Map in Minecraft is straightforward. Below are the ingredient items players will need to craft a Locator Map:

  • 1 Compass (can be crafted using 4 iron ingots & 1 redstone dust)
  • 8 Papers

To craft the Locator Map, players must place the compass in the middle slot of their Cartography Table and all 8 papers in the surrounding slots. Click craft, and voila! You will have your own locator map. Players can keep the Locator map in their off-hand, too, in case they need to engage in combat while making their way through the lands of Minecraft.

Moreover, players can upgrade their locator map four times in total. Also, locator maps created in the Nether will only work in the Nether realm, and similarly, the ones made in the Overworld will only work in the Overworld! So, all the players struggling without a Locator Map should craft one so they can breeze through the Minecraft map without much difficulty.
