Minecraft has a variety of potions that the players can make and use to get a variety of effects from. Here is how to make a Potion of Weakness in Minecraft and all its uses in the game.

Potions are magical liquids that the players can make and use to get a variety of effects. These can range from small effects like damage buffs, move speed buffs and even go up to a set of special effects like invisibility and even glowing in the dark. Potions need a special item called the Brewing Stand and is the potion-making stand for all kinds of them.

Here is all the uses and how to make a Potion of Weakness in Minecraft.

The Potion of Weakness is a negative status effect-giving Potion that can decrease the attack damage of the entity it is thrown at.

This decrease in damage is only applicable to melee attacks and melee weapons. The negative effect does not apply to the ranged damage from any sources like bows, crossbows and thrown Tridents. The effect duration for the Potion can further be increased using a Mundane Potion as a base.

The only other use for this potion is to cure Zombie Villagers and turn them into normal villagers.

How to craft a Potion of Weakness?

Before starting to craft the Potion of Weakness in Minecraft, players need the following:

  • Fermented Spider Eye
  • Water Bottle
  • Brewing Stand
  • Blaze Powder

After getting all these items do the following to make a Potion of Weakness:

Step 1: Click on the Brewing Stand to open its mixing UI.

Step 2: Add the Fermented Spider Eye on the top of the stand.

Step 3: Add the Water Bottle to the bottom of the stand.

Step 4: Add the Blaze Powder in the Fuel section and the brewing will start.

Step 5: Take out the completed product from the right-most side of the Brewing Stand.
