Mounts in Minecraft are one of the most useful animals in the game and there are several. Here is how to make a Warped Fungus on a Stick in Minecraft in order to control one of the most uncommon mounts in the game, the Strider.

The Minecraft Fungus only comprised of the mushrooms in the Overworld, but the Nether update has added many more. The two notable biomes added to the Nether dimensions are the Crimson Forest biome and the Warped Forest biome. These biomes have an abundance of vegetation and two new fungi have been introduce here. These are the Warped Fungus and the Crimson Fungus, both being similar to Mushrooms.

This item has only one purpose in the game and that is to control the strider mount found in the Nether dimension.

This is similar to the Carrot on a Stick item, which is used to make the Pigs mount become faster. However, the Strider mob cannot be controlled without the use of this Warped Fungus on a Stick.

Players need to make this item to get it. However, in very rare cases when a zombified piglin spawns as a strider jockey, it has a warped fungus on a stick in its hand instead of a golden sword. The chance to drop this is extremely low and thus is not a reliable source to get it.

Uses

The Strider mob can be found on the lava beds of the Nether realm and can be saddled by the players to ride it. However, players need a Warped Fungus on a Stick in Minecraft to be able to control the strider mob.

When riding the strider, players need to hold the stick in their main hand or off-hand and simply direct the Strider on the way to go. Pressing right-click while holding it will also boost the speed of the Strider.

This mob is especially useful due to its ability of walking on lava.
