Players in GTA 5 can behave very differently. Some players may be friendly while some may be hostile. Some players may even kill you right after you have completed a heist with them. In such situations, it is always important to stay aware. Setting a target priority can be very useful in such situations. This article lists the different steps to set targeting priority in GTA 5.

Step 1: Open the interaction menu using ‘M’ on the PC, touchpad on the PS4 or the ‘view’ button on the Xbox One.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Player targeting priority’ options.
Step 3: Set the targeting mode as needed. The ‘Everyone’ option classifies every player as a threat while the ‘Strangers’ option classifies any player who is not a friend as a threat. The ‘Attacker’ option treats any player who attacks the player as a threat.
Step 4: The targeting priority is now set.
