“I’ll tell you that,” Hulk Hogan breaks silence on John Cena’s WWE-altering heel turn at the Elimination Chamber

The man who led to the formation of the NWO, Hulk Hogan, has reacted to John Cena embracing a side of his that was dormant since 2003.

A highly polarizing real-life figure, Terry Bollea, better known to wrestling fans as Hulk Hogan, has opined on John Cena finally turning heel after over two decades. The Babe Ruth of WWE pulled off arguably the most consequential swerve of the modern era by stabbing Cody Rhodes at the Elimination Chamber upon the marching orders of The Rock.

Someone who has stooped to similar lows in the past, Hogan, recently told Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso that Cena’s heel turn was one of the best he has seen in a long time. The Hulkster also took note of the off-the-charts star power featured in that segment, including The Rock.

Hogan believes that the burgeoning angle depends on John’s willingness to make it work. The WWE HOF’er came across as oblivious to The Cenation Leader’s WWE schedule. Probably that’s why he made such a statement. Regardless of the variables involved, Hogan is banking on the talent involved in Cena’s brand-new character arc to culminate in an unforgettable WrestleMania match.

For the unversed, the battle lines are drawn. Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect will take on Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title at The Showcase of the Immortals. The American Nightmare was reportedly banged up coming out of the PLE in Toronto.

Rhodes allegedly ruptured his left eardrum. It is believed to be messed up by rapper Travis Scott. In a fan-captured video, he apparently went a little too hard on Cody during the assault. The former AEW EVP will break silence for the first time on this week’s SmackDown since enduring that onslaught.

CM Punk completely went off on John Cena to kick off Raw

There were a number of disgruntled faces coming out of the Elimination Chamber. CM Punk was likely the worst-hit of all. He opened this week’s Raw with a scathing promo bemoaning both The Rock and his newest ally, John Cena. After calling Dwayne Johnson a bald fraud, The Best in the World turned his attention to Cena.

The Chicagoan claimed that even if one couldn’t see John before, they very well see right through him now. He’s never been more desperate to sell his soul like Cena did, quipped Punk in rage. The former AEW star doubled down on the 47-year-old actor for giving up not only his dreams but also on every single fan who looked up to him for many years.

Punk passed out to Cena after an extended stretch of the STF applied across his face. But things may have been different if it weren’t for Seth Rollins‘ unrelenting scorn for The Second City Saint. Despite being eliminated from the match, The Visionary stomped Punk on his way out of the chamber. However, it allowed Cena to lock in his submission maneuver on The Straight Edge Superstar.

It does seem like Punk and Cena are destined to clash again, which Punk alluded to in his Raw promo as well. The Franchise Player is slated to appear on the March 17 episode of the red brand in Brussels, followed by a couple of outings in Glasgow and London. WWE is now advertising the Ricky Stanicky star for a SmackDown episode on May 30, June 13, and June 20.
