Hulk Hogan recently appeared on Logan Paul‘s IMPAULSIVE podcast. As expected, the wrestling legend sparked a controversy with several comments. Without doubt, the most mind-boggling statement he made was regarding Chris Benoit. Hogan compared himself with Benoit while discussing wrestling fans. 

To establish that the wrestling community was “forgiving” in general, Hogan used the example of the deceased wrestler. According to The Hulkster, fans have forgotten about the Benoit double murder-s**cide case, the tragic incident where the wrestler murdered his own son and wife before taking his own life. As a result of his heinous crimes, WWE ensured that Benoit would never be mentioned on programming or any affiliated media.

Moreover, Hogan believes that fans have also forgiven him for his own controversial past. The WWE Hall of Famer found himself in deep waters almost a decade ago. A leaked tap exposed Hogan’s racist remarks to the world, which led to the tarnishing of his image. A comparison between both cases shows that the 71-year-old has a lack of self-awareness or doesn’t know the full details behind the Benoit tragedy.

Either way, he has deservedly received a lot of criticism from the wrestling community once again. It hasn’t been the best of years for Hogan, as he recently faced the line of fire after his egregious comments about US presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Regardless, it seems that he’ll remain associated with WWE for the foreseeable future.

Wrestling fans irate after Hulk Hogan makes bizarre comment about Chris Benoit

The online wrestling community took to X to not only remind Hulk Hogan that they haven’t forgiven Chris Benoit but to also reiterate the same about him. However, a few fans felt that The Hulkster made a valid point regarding the topic.

One fan shared a clip of Paul Heyman voicing his opinion on the 2007 tragedy. Meanwhile, another user claimed that fans appreciated Benoit’s in-ring work but not the human being. Further, one fan called out Logan Paul for sitting quietly and agreeing with Hogan’s statement.

A section of fans revealed they’ve forgiven the WWE Hall of Famer for his history of racist remarks. On the other hand, users alluded to his political views as the reason behind his controversial remarks. A few trolled Hogan for once again lying in an interview.
