‘I believe Joshua is the favourite in this fight’ – Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes his client goes into the Tyson Fury as the favourite!

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is the fight the whole combat sport community have been waiting for. The fight which is imminent, will definitely take form this year. The fight will be a title unification bout for the undisputed heavyweight title, as Anthony Joshua currently has four titles (WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles) and Fury has the, WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles.
Speaking about this in an interview, Anthony Joshua’s promoter and Matchroom Boxing CEO, Eddie Hearn claimed that his client AJ was the favourite to win the fight. He also spoke about how he had underestimated Tyson Fury in previous fights, but this time seemed confident that Fury wouldn’t win.

Eddie Hearn was quoted as saying, “I don’t think anyone can be 100 per cent confident about anyone winning a fight like this. They could fight 10 times and wouldn’t get 10 same results. I believe Joshua is the favourite in this fight. I know that, with the bookies, Fury is. But I see the improvements that Anthony makes and the desire that he has got. But I’ve written Fury off before – against Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder. He proved me wrong. But I don’t believe he will prove me wrong this time. I believe our guy wins. But talk is cheap. We’ve got to roll the dice and find out.” [via SkySports]
Anthony Joshua is coming off a victory over Kubrat Pulev, as recently as December 12, 2020 and Fury, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since battering Deontay Wilder, back in February 2020.
